On July 29th, ABC national news published the following story – Judge blocks Arkansas from Enforcing 4 Abortion Restrictions.
This news story is yet another example why the pro-life movement’s strategy to attack Roe in the courts is a failed strategy. They love it though because they make money going in (while they propose measures they know the courts will strike down) and they make money going out (crying about how the courts have struck it down). And then they do it all over again. For 44 years now.
This news story is yet another example why the pro-life movement’s strategy to attack Roe in the courts is a failed strategy. The federal judiciary is the tyrant. And sadly its tyranny is aided and abetted by pro-life/pro-family organizations. When you respond to abortion politically within the framework of Roe – you are giving credence to the tyrant; you are going to the tyrant with your hat out; you are accepting the parameters and framework of their tyranny; you are trying to get scraps from a thug. You cannot appease a tyrant – you must confront them.
This news story is yet another example why the pro-life movement’s strategy to attack Roe in the courts is a failed strategy. Politicians love the using the courts as an excuse for their failure to act against judicial lawlessness. They get to hide behind the lie “I am opposed to the killing of the preborn (or I am opposed to homosexual marriage) but the Supreme Court has ruled and all we can do is obey. Our hands are tied.” This is a lie. They have the authority and the duty to interpose and defy the federal judiciary. The politicians love what the judiciary has become because it provides them political cover. We must hold them accountable and inform them that we know what they are saying is a lie.
What if all the pro-life/pro-family groups in Wisconsin demanded total abolition of abortion through interposition by the majority GOP magistrates – and offered them nothing less (you know, nothing less like the 4 things that the federal judge struck down in Arkansas)? Why won’t the pro-life/pro-family groups in Wisconsin do it? Why do they condemn the one means that can stop the brutal killing, namely, abolition of abortion through interposition by state magistrates?
