Abortion: the intentional killing of the human fetus, or the performance of a procedure intentionally designed to kill the human fetus.
Below are common pro-choice objections that we have run across. Equip yourself to change hearts and minds through reason and faith.
Be forewarned – rare is the pro-choicer who ever advances the argument beyond the following series of steps:
The pro-choicer offers one of the objections refuted below.
An abolitionist rebuts the objection, usually with one of the arguments below its respective objection.
The pro-choicer either:
• moves to an entirely different objection, and/or
• responds with a complete misunderstanding of the offered rebuttal, and/or
• dismisses the rebuttal, and/or
• engages in profane/obscene/outraged discourse in order to intimidate the abolitionist.
Don’t be like that. This is a serious issue, and these are serious rebuttals.
We dare you to advance the debate, as we have already done. Set yourself apart from the vast majority of people.

“The oviduct or Fallopian tube is the anatomical region where every new life begins in mammalian species. After a long journey, the spermatozoa meet the oocyte in the specific site of the oviduct named ampulla, and fertilization takes place.”
-Roles of the oviduct in mammalian fertilization
The body inside your body is not yours. The baby has its own distinct DNA, and its own human rights.
Nowhere else would we tolerate this logic. Although we have our own rights, we do not have the right to use our own bodies, to murder someone else.
Furthermore, children have rights to the bodies of their parents, and we all know this. If a mother cannot care for her newborn, we require her to use her body to carry that child to a safe haven or make an adoption plan. She cannot say “my body, my choice” and leave her baby in a dumpster. If a father doesn’t use his body to go get his child food, and that child starves to death, he is charged with neglect. He doesn’t get to say “my body, my choice.”
Parents have obligations to provide natural and basic care to their children.
This argument is hypocritical, as you cannot have genuine empathy for some children and not others.
There are 1–2 million couples waiting to adopt in the U.S. That averages at 36 couples for every 1 newborn baby.
These children are so cherished and wanted, and adoption is abosolutley an option for every woman considering abortion.
The foster care system is in peril since authority was transferred from the Church to the State.
This failure of a system revolves around drugs, government overreach, and a lack of God in our culture and laws.
Abortion is completely unrelated, and it is never a solution to simply murder someone because you believe their time in foster care may be rough.
Abortion is never medically necessary to save a pregnant mother’s life.
Although maternal-fetal separation may be necessary in extremely rare cases, the treatment is never abortion (The intentional ending of a human life to terminate a pregnancy).
This separation can be done through early delivery or cesarean surgery, both of which are much safer procedures for the mother than abortion.
These procedures honor the humanity of the baby in the womb by recognizing two patients- medically, legally, and morally.
These procedures secure a chance at life for these little ones- the survival rate for preterm babies at 24 weeks is almost 80%!
Abortion clinics do not provide any of these options, and every abortion includes the step of intentionally murdering the child in the womb first.
There is, intentionally, no chance of leaving an abortion alive as a preborn baby. (Unless something went wrong during the procedure).
Whereas if both patients survive early delivery or cesarean surgery, the procedure was a success.
-Over 1,000 medical professionals have signed the Dublin Declaration, stating that abortion is never medically necessary to save a mother’s life.
Rape is a horrific violence and injustice. Any woman who has been raped needs healing and the support of her community, and the rapist should be held accountable by God’s law.
But the baby in the womb is innocent. And should never pay the death penalty for the crimes of his or her father.
It is hypocritical and impossible to grieve for a victim of rape, then continue on to abuse others’ rights.
Planned Parenthood has been found to cover up and aid sex abusers in their crimes, while leaving mothers traumatized ( over 90% of the rape victims who aborted said they would not recommend abortion to someone in the same situation) and innocent victims torn apart in the back dumpsters.

We as Christians are commanded to act when we witness the destruction or abuse of innocent life. Proverbs 24:11 says:
“Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter.”
The Removal of an Ectopic Pregnancy is Not an Abortion
Nearly all ectopic pregnancies are deadly to the child and have a high statistical risk of being deadly to the mother if they are not removed.
An ectopic pregnancy is when the embryo implants outside of the uterus, usually in the fallopian tube.
The treatment is a procedure called a laparoscopy. NOT an abortion.
Abortion clinics do not provide, and are not qualified to provide this procedure.
The removal of ectopic pregnancies is a matter of life and death. Sadly, a child will not survive the removal of an ectopic pregnancy because of their location implanted, and in many cases they have already passed. However, the purpose of removing her from her mother’s womb is not to kill her, but instead, the purpose is to preserve life.
In ectopic pregnancies, two lives are at risk. In most cases, if the pregnancy is allowed to continue, the mother and the child will likely — or, in some cases, certainly — die.
The lie that ectopic pregnancies are treated by abortion is just that- a lie. A lie to keep these clinics open, and to continue the bloodshed.
